24. War Horse

Beautiful film to look at.  Mostly boring to watch.  Felt like it was all filmed on a stage.

25. Jack and Jill

Silly.  Stupid.  Silly.  I laughed a few times - and was slightly charmed by Adam Sandler as a woman.  But what a crazy film.  Best part - Norm MacDonald clinging to a light in the men’s room.

26. Puss in Boots

Not a whole lot of fun to be had in this film.  Did laugh a few times  - but it felt really long - which is something that shouldn’t happen in a kids film.

27. The Thing

The prequel.  Every time I see Mary Elizabeth Winstead - I think of Ramona Flowers.  That’s  all I see.  Why is Roman Flowers lighting monsters on fire?  Where are her evil ex’s?  The movie provided a few scares and tried to live up to the John Carpenter film.  I found it to be fine all in all.  Wasted Mr Echo and Joel Edgerton though.

28. Mary Martha May Marlene

Slow.  Beautiful.  Too many questions.  There is so much to wonder about with this film.  But the whole thing fills you with dread and unease.  Very uncomfortable - but amazingly great.  I have no idea what the end means - and it immediately had me scouring the internet for interviews and opinions.  That is the sign of a good movie.  Will be thinking about this one for weeks.
